Two EPs, one LP (yes, there should have been more by now), two Big Day Outs, and countless shows with the likes of Elvis Costello, The Beasts of Bourbon and You Am I, and all of a sudden we’re about to turn ten!
To celebrate, we’re playing a rare live show – our first in nearly two years – at Melbourne’s newest live venue, the Spotted Mallard, 314 Sydney Road, Brunswick.
Special birthday guests are The Gung Hoes (feat. Tim Rogers and Davey Lane) and newcomers Cold Irons Bound.
Chris is back in Australia with a new album in tow!
‘Nothing But Nice Things’ is officially released on 30 November, but you can pick up a copy at one Chris’s upcoming shows.
Here’s a taster:
Chris is also playing alongside Suzannah Espie and Liz Stringer as part of the ‘Sea of Lights’ tour. The tour is in support of Suzannah’s great new album of the same name, on which Chris lent his multi-instrumental skills and harmonies.
We’re pleased to announce the release of Gruntbucket’s second album ‘Songs From An Empty Room’.
It’s available to purchase in 12″ vinyl (with digital download + 2 bonus tracks) and CD from selected rekurd stores, or digitally through the iTunes Store.
In the meantime, cop the heady video for the first single:
UPDATE: ‘Songs From An Empty Room’ has been nominated in the ‘Best album’ category in this year’s The Age EG Music Awards. Please show your supporting by voting on the EG Awards poll website. Voting is open until Friday, 16 November.
